CHILLI: THE ENIGMATIC “GOLDEN NEEDLE”

This is a new variety which we grew, and it produced prolifically! Once we had established we had more than enough seed to add it to stock, we went about researching “Golden Needle Chilli” (as was the name on the genetics we had) only to find the variety does not appear to exist! We have researched and cross-referenced images and cannot say for certain what this chilli is. We can tell you it heavily produces 5 – 7cm long fruits with an upright growing habit that remain white / creamy yellow and are of mid-level heat with subtle fruity notes.

SOIL PREFERENCES

PH 5 – 6

Rich, well-drained friable soil.

Avoid high nitrogen fertilisers.

GROWING TIPS

Sow 6mm deep – 45cm apart and keep moist.

Avoid high nitrogen fertilisers or leaf growth will be promoted over fruit.

Prefers warmer temperatures.
