HERB: HYSSOP
(HYSOPPUS OFFICINALIS)
This beautiful blue flowered perennial is attractive to beneficial insects & a decoy plant for white cabbage butterflies & moths.
Intensely aromatic, it’s used in herbal medicine.
Grows 30 – 50 cm, loves a sunny spot, and doesn’t mind it a little on the dry side.

Best transplanted in spring.
Grow by sowing 5cm deep and keep moist until they germinate in 14 – 21 days.
Transplant 15-30cm apart.
Prefers full sun.
Prune back to encourage new growth and a compact bush.
Can become leggy & sparse without pruning.
