HERB: SHUNGIKU

(GLEBIONIS CORONARIA)

An edible chrysanthemum. Grows to a metre and flowers prolifically.

Also called “chop suey greens”, and “Japanese Greens”.

The leaves are used in soups, fried as a vegetable, in salads, steamed & served with soy sauce and sesame oil.
