TOMATO: MARGLOBE
(SOLANUM LYCOPERSICUM)

PLANT SIZE: BUSH
FRUIT SIZE: MEDIUM
COLOUR: RED
CULINARY APPLICATIONS: SAUCES, CANNING

A crack and disease resistant American heirloom with a rich history.
Bred by Fred J Pritchard in 1917 who crossed the now lost “Marvel” variety with “Globe”. It ripens early making it well suited to areas with shorter summers. It is the “granddaddy” if you will of numerous heirloom varieties which were bred from it. Though classed as a bush variety it likes to spread itself out, so make sure it has enough space to grow. An excellent canning tomato!
