BEETROOT: RUBY QUEEN

(BETA VULGARIS)

A deep red uniformly sized beetroot with excellent flavour.  Short top greens.

In 1957 it was judged to be one of the top 9 best vegetables.

Use the thinnings as baby beets and grow the remainder to full size.

GROWING TIPS

Soak seed for 2 hours and direct sow.

Keep moist.

Thin to 10cm apart, either transplant or eat as microgreens.
