Grown as both an edible bean and an ornamental.

Grows vigorously to 1.8m tall and requires trellising.

Eat pods young as they can become stringy. They will readily cross with other runner bean varieties.

GROWING TIPS

Direct sow 5cm deep. Water once after sowing and not again till they germinate, usually 10-15 days after planting.

Space 15cm apart. Train up a fence of trellis.
