Highly nutritious with a 5.76 Tetra-cis-lycopene rating on the NZ heritage food crops research project.

A sweet, mild, low acid orange tomato. A good slicer. Produces well in a cool season.

WHEN TO PLANT

Cool Climate: AUG, SEP, OCT, NOV, (INSIDE) Plant out after risk of frost when soil temperature reaches 16ºC+.

Temperate: SEP-DEC Transplant or direct sow outside only when soil temperatures reach 16ºC+.

Sub – Tropical: (FROST FREE ZONES) MAR, APR, MAY, JUN, JUL, AUG, SEP,

(Can be grown year-round but risk of disease increases when sown in hotter months.)

Tropical: Late April to the beginning of July. 

SOIL PREFERENCES

PH 5.8-7

Well-drained rich soil.

GROWING TIPS

Raise in seedling tray, sow 6mm deep and keep moist.

 Remove bottom leaves when planting and plant deeply to promote strong growth.

Plant 45cm apart.
